I am a 3rd year Woven Textile Design Student, passionate about innovative interior design. My interests lie specifically in hand weaving, with underlying elements of craft and a drive of attention to detail. I am hugely materials and process driven, with a high technical interest in
yarn and fabric qualities, and a love for the exploration of both conventional and unconventional materials and process adding a contemporary twist to the traditional art of weave. As well as a creative flare and interest in exploration, my high technical understanding and perfectionist qualities have resulted in the successful construction of high-quality woven fabrics. I pride myself on my determination and slightly competitive nature, which I strongly believe has participated in my success, particularly during my time at University. Group projects have developed my leadership, team working and communication skills, and my resilient nature allows me to persevere and put my all into my work. My dedicated, passionate and hard-working qualities have been demonstrated throughout various aspects of my life, and I have been able to effectively apply the learnt experience to multiple situations. |
